Monster Fish

We went to Barton and there was lots of annoying canoes. We used maggots and the feeder method.

This is the river we fished on.

This is the Kingfisher we kept seeing and Daddy kept trying to find it over and over again which was quite annoying.

This is my new pb Chub. It was the biggest fish of the day and it took some reeling in and it had a mouthful of maggots which looked like every maggot in the feeder. It weighed 2lb 9oz.

So this is my pb on Perch and it weighed 1lb 6oz and it was straight after the Chub. It made me feel happy.

Fishing for Chub

So we fished on the Warwickshire Avon, We used bronze maggots in a feeder and we caught a lot of Gudgeon, some quite big, some quite small.

This is one of the biggest Gudgeons and we didn't even know it was hooked!

These are all the fish we caught, not as much as my first outing but there was quite a lot for fishing in the river.

This is the biggest Chub of the day. It is my pb and daddy had to help reel it in because it knew where all the reeds are and tried to escape..

this is my smile

Feeder Fishing in the River

The bait was maggots. It was in a swimfeeder. The weather was very windy and there was lots of mud. We had to keep an eye on the end of the rod because if it goes up and down that means we have got a fish.

This is the biggest fish of the day, it is an Eel and it weighed 14oz.
It was very slimy and it kept slipping out of my hands.

It was very hard to get the slime off my hands.

We caught Perch, Eel, Roach, Bleak, Dace, Chub and a Minnow.
Sadly we lost a big Chub because it was pulling into the weeds and it pulled off the hook and escaped.

So the Perch weighed 9oz, it was very big and it wasn't slimy.

Catching Carp in the rain

so we fished at Island Pool at Willow Farm. The weather was awful. It was raining nearly all the time and we got soaked!
For bait we used prawns and we used the lift method to catch this superb mirror carp. The fight was great, it was super strong and it almost pulled me in!! It weighed 3 pound 9 ounces and it was calm to hold and not too slimy. This is the biggest fish I have ever caught so far.........

My first outing

My very first fishing trip.... so we used roach for bait and we fished at Wick weir pool. and it was very exciting when we caught the pike. this was my first pike ever and I felt so proud when I held it. We caught this pike on Saturday 7th October

We went fishing today (Sunday 15th October ) to the Silver Pool at Willow Farm. It was very hard to catch a fish on every go but it was very fun just me doing it on my own. We caught thirty fish. Roach, Bream, Silver Bream and Perch.

It was the first cast out quite a reasonable size, not the biggest but it was quite big for the first cast. It was quite slimy, I felt really amazed that I got it and it was big and it felt like I'm gonna catch more fish than Daddy and I did.

This was the biggest fish of the day - a bream. It weighed 2 pound 2 ounces and it put up a big fight. It took a reasonable time to come in and it really took the bait well. It zoomed off straight away. When I got it in I felt so excited that I wanted to hold it before we put it in the net.

These are all the fish I caught today. What a catch! It was really hard to get them all and I felt so amazed that I wanted to have this picture with them all. After the photo Daddy and I put them safely back into the pond and watched them swim away. Until next time....

fishing after a long time

This spot was a place with no fish  so we moved. Tazzy came with us today. This was the first fish he weighed 1lb 8oz he pulled...
